Hack the Majors

Reality Hack at MIT × Stanford Immerse the Bay × Harvard XR Conference

We’re excited to announce a new collaboration between three of the largest collegiate XR gatherings:

Reality Hack at MIT

East Coast, Around January

Stanford Immerse the Bay

West Coast, Around November

Harvard XR Conference

East Coast, Around April

Together, we’re building a bridge between top hackathons and conferences to create a year-round ecosystem for XR builders.

For the first time in 2025-26: Continuing Tracks

A dedicated track that allows hackers to carry projects across multiple hackathons within the same year.

  • Build on your existing project from Reality Hack or Immerse The  Bay. Submit according to each hackathon's rules

  • Teams capped at 5 members.

  • Not eligible for standard hackathon awards, but recognized in each Hackathon’s Continuing Track category.

  • Open to ongoing work and open-source contributions (no funding cap). More clarification will be provided at each Hackathon

  • Applications will include questions about the project you’ll be continuing.
